Rick Naya
HEY RICK NAYA, WHAT A PLEASURE IT IS TO HAVE A CHAT WITH YOU. FIRST OFF I WANT TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NECANN NOMINEE FOR A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AND THE NEW HAMPSHIRE CANNABIS ACTIVIST OF THE YEAR AWARD. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT HOW DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL TO BE NOMINATED FOR SUCH AN AWARD?
Thank you! It’s a pleasure to chat with you as well. I don’t do what I do for this kind of Accolade I do it for you. I do it for everybody I do this so that others won’t have to and have to suffer and go through the indignation the loss of family the loss of money and finances the life of an activist is one that I probably would suggest people not to do because like they say you give up everything for the betterment of humanity and there are no rewards it’s a tremendous amount of humility and self-acceptance so just know that these nominations belong to you and they belong to all of my friends and people who believe in my voice to stand up for cannabis it means so much more to me than just the nomination it’s just a recognition alone is probably to my knees in tears of love and joy and happiness for all those who did someday may be able to partake in cannabis legally without having to go to jail or prison and suffer the consequences so for that my friend I’m elated I just have no words man I’m blown the f*** away thank you for always being there for me and always supporting me thank you!
YOU ARE ONE OF THE LEADING ADVOCATES FOR CANNABIS IN NEW ENGLAND. CAN YOU TELL ME HOW YOU HAVE BUILT UP THIS REPUTATION OVER THE YEARS? WHAT ADVERSITIES DID YOU OVERCOME TO GET WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?
To be considered as one of the leading advocates for cannabis in New England. The reputation that follows me was totally unintended. I was called upon by my highest powers. The adversities I faced with those of my community. my family, my career, my businesses and my personal life would no longer be what it once was. I was a husband, father, business owner and a contributor to my community. When the calling came I actually coward and was scared. Would I deface my family and my families name by taking up cannabis for Humanity? The adversities that I had to overcome are unlike anything that I had ever thought. The loss of close friends and family members, loss of your children and wife the loss of your career. I Pumped my businesses and never giving up to the calling that spoke to me. I feel I was chosen by my highest powers to be a true Gladiator. A true warrior to defend cannabis at all costs. Doing so with dignity and diplomacy. Show me all people would be inclusive regardless if they believe or not cannabis deserves to be spoken of in a manner that is acceptable to all beings without bias. The adversities that I had to overcome has allowed me to help create a cannabis Arena and do so in a manner that all people can be proud of. not just a select few, the common everyday ordinary citizen that deserves to have that voice. I believe that my highest Powers gave me this voice to use to help get cannabis where it is today.
SOUNDS LIKE YOU REALLY PUT YOUR NECK OUT ON THE LINE. THE LOSS OF LOVED ONES EVEN THOUGH IT’S HARD TO DEAL WITH. IT REALLY GIVE YOU THE KICK TO BECOME SELFLESS AND SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE OF LIFE. YOU TOOK THAT PAIN AND FOUGHT FOR CANABIS. ON THE FRONT LINES NONE THE LESS. I HAVE SEEN YOU GO AND STAND UP IN FRONT IF LEGISLATORS FOR CANNABIS CAN YOU TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT?
Yes you’re right I have suffered dearly and I’ll say that again. I have suffered dearly losses that most people can’t even comprehend, let alone rebound from and continue with life. I know a lot of people who have been challenged by activism and have given up or lost their lives in the battle. For me the largest pain that I have ever suffered was philanthropic. It was giving away all of my personal possessions. Bank accounts, credit cards everything that I could possibly giveaway that was holding me back from giving my all. To be called upon by your highest Powers is no joke. Either you have faith and listen or you coward and hide. I chose to listen. Like being a voice for cannabis, it’s taking me to many places around the nation and world to speak to legislator. Its proven to be one of the most trying and difficult times of my life. Trying to educate indoctrinated people who believe and bias lies and unsupported research and science. Being involved with the legislative body in New Hampshire the calling asked me to provide data and science and research. Research that was not biased and stick by the truth of the light that cannabis is. It will forever be part of our diet and endocannabinoid system and our lives. That was the greatest challenge of all educating legislators. The amount of humility and embarrassment the amount of hours and days and years of research the nights and days of not sleeping. Tprepare the research and the data the millions of dollars that have been spent providing all of this information it’s just unfathomable to calculate the amount of time and hours and research that I put into this movement this Arena Our Lives the Cannabis community. It Is by this community that I had to learn to live again in an unselfish manner always giving with love and kindness and compassion for fellow human beings it has placed a sense of Grace upon me a sense of dignity and diplomacy that allows me to carry my head high everywhere I go knowing that people recognize did a gladiator and a warrior for the Cannabis Arena is upon us. The feelings that I get from the community from vendors and sponsors manufacturers corporations individuals patients family members, just to be recognized as a cannabis advocate and to be nominated a Lifetime Achievement Award is the most humbling thing that has ever bestowed itself upon me I can’t even tell you the words and express them what it means to someone like me. It’s ethereal oh, it feels like it comes from the grandest place of all where the light of light in the truth of Truth exists. It is The Great I Am that dwelleth Within Me that is so honored and so humble and proud. I can’t even begin to tell you the feelings that I’m feeling because I’m in tears joy and love and happiness. I truly never knew it would all come down to these things the humility and acceptance that others believe in you those are very profound positions to be in. I feel like I have followed through with the calling from my highest power and doing as I was asked to do. That in itself is the greatest reward that I have ever received its interpersonal.

IN YOUR YOUNGER DAYS WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP DID YOU EVER LOOK AT YOURSELF AND THEN LOOK AT YOUR HERB AND SAY TO YOURSELF “THIS IS WHAT I WANT MY LIFE TO BE ABOUT”? I SURE AS HELL DID. IN EARLY 2015. SHORTLY AFTER I STARTED WORKING TOWARDS BUILDING A HEADSHOP. DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE THAT?
Yes, I did there was a time when I was with some friends in the woods. They were like my blood brothers. My buddies are my best friends in the world and we all did a blood brother packed and we cut our fingers and we all shook hands and we swaped Blood. We became Blood Brothers and we made a vow to ourselves that we would smoke cannabis for the rest of our lives because it was the only thing that made us happy and made us feel alive. So yes I did experience something in my youth friends that believe in cannabis and we believed in each other. It was another experience that happened to me as a child did I’d like to share with you privately it’s the way that my highest Powers came to find me and guide me to the place that I evolve to. My story is really quite unique and I believe in the calling. When your highest Powers calls upon you to do something it’s time to listen to your subconscious and consciousness. It’s how we are all tied together. I listen to my inner voice. I listen to The Great I Am. I listen to my highest powers what’s brought me to where I am today with reverence and humility.
WITH THINGS CHANGING SO DRASTICALLY THESE DAYS WITH THE CANABIS INDUSTRY. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIMARY FOCUSES ON IN 2020?
After spending nearly 40 years in the Cannabis Arena. Being an advocate for so many years I decided to break out. My heirloom landrace collection of rare earth hybrid and land races into my Elite Legacy group. We will be releasing some very, very rare cannabis with my anayalated Brands and allele genetics. We are also getting involved in the cultivation retail and manufacturing of these varieties. There is so much that’s going to be happening in 2020 for the great-grandfather of hybrid cannabis. I’ll be sharing everything. I always do, allowing everybody to stay involved because without all of us in this community. There would be no opportunity for any of us and without sharing these opportunities with the community your business won’t go anywhere. It’s out of many we are one and we certainly are one cannabis community! I truly love my cannabis Familia!
WELL THEN I AM SURE EXCITED TO SEE THESE GENETICS! MY COMPANY IS ALL ABOUT ADVOCATING CANNABIS ON GROUND LEVEL. BRINGING PIPES AND CANABIS RELATED ART INTO LIVE MUSIC TO RAISE AWARENESS AND HELP BANDS. IF YOU HAD ONE CHANCE TO GIVE ADVICE TO OTHER ADVOCATES IN THE COMMUNITY WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Listen to your heart, its the greatest voice we have. Its the Great I Am that dwelleth within us that walks in the truth of the light within you that will set you free. Believe in yourself!
6.) WITH ALL THE WAYS TO USE CANNABID THESE DAYS. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO CONSUME CANNABIS?
Flower, joints rolled by a master.
WELL THAT’S GOOD I’M A MASTER ROLLER! HAHA LETS TALK A LITTLE ABOUT CBD’S. WITH HEMP LIFTED OFF THE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE LIST. WE HAVE BEEN SEING MASSIVE THC FREE HEMP GROWS ALL OVER NEW ENGLAND! WE SEE CBD’S ALL OVER THE PLACE FROM GAS STATIONS TO MOM AND POP BRICK AND MORTAR STORES. DO YOU HAVE ANY OPINION ON THE SUBJECT AND DO YOU CONSUME CBD’S IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE?
Directly and indirectly we are CBD our bodies have an endocannabinoid system which can draw from sustenance that we consume many of us have deficient Endo kinetic systems where CBD and hemp can help alleviate many of these imbalances that people face. The fact that hemp is sold at gas stations with names of companies you’ve never heard of that kind of scares me but what I do appreciate our companies that are within the arena who go the extra mile who provide all of the data of the research in the science who provide all the testing reports and skillfully and masterfully develop tinctures and medicines ointments bet are supported not only by the local community but by the regional communities this is how we Empower small business entrepreneurs and stimulate social Equity reform and economic empowerment for those who have suffered the worst. Show by having CBD in our lives we hope this ain’t that those of us who are involved in the industry go to the utmost measures to create and develop only the safest and purest forms of medicines to help people. And yes I do consume CBD in my everyday life whether it be by tincture buy Edibles and or buy flower I choose to be and to experience homeostasis on a daily basis. My happiness begins with a cup of #luvjava
DO YOU HAVE ANY PERSONAL FAVORITE RECIPES FOR EDIBLES, TINCTURES, OR INFUSED PRODUCTS? IF SO WOULD YOU SHARE THEM WITH US?
I have to be honest here, all medibles, edibles, drinks tinctures and ointments are all gifted to me by our cannabis community and when someone puts their heart into the product you can tell right away its 100% made with love. I drink #luvjava daily, i use hole in the wall ointments and salves and tinctures and honey from #hippiechicksnaturalsolutions . Omar Ruiz makes killer empanadas and Red Blaza makes the best candy bars and so does Scott Odette of MTG Seeds. I appreciate every vendor manufacturer and i try to stay local regional when using my product gifts like they say, nothing like your local goods. #cannafamilia
